Fast Five (in Brazil: Fast and Furious 5: Operation Rio and Portugal: Fast & Furious 5: Rio Heist in) is an American film, 2011, the action film, directed by Justin Lin and written by Chris Morgan. It is the fifth film in the franchise The Fast and the Furious. It was first released in Australia on April 20, 2011, and then in the United States on 29 April 2011. Among the Portuguese speaking countries, Portugal was the first to show the film on 5 May 2011.3 the next day film is released in Brazil.4 Fast Five Dominic Toretto follows (Vin Diesel), Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) planning a heist to steal $ 100 million from corrupt businessman Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) , while being pursued by the diplomatic security service agent of the United States (DSS), Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson).
In developing Fast Five, Universal Studios deliberately left the street racing theme, which was predominant in the previous films in the series, to turn the franchise into a series of action involving car theft. Sinopse
After Dominic Toretto rescue (Vin Diesel) from prison after hit the bus that was carrying, Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) flee to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where they Vince (Matt Schulze) Archbishop's childhood friend and foe Brian from the first film in the franchise. Vince talks about a job that took about stealing three sports cars of a train, but when the robbery goes wrong, Dom, Brian and Mia are blamed for the deaths of three agents of the Department of North American Justice. At this time they realize that the corrupt businessman who heads Rio, Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) or silence them.

After a graphic video featuring actors is shown an extra scene where Hobbs is working in his office when he receives a visit from an old acquaintance agent Monica Fuentes. She arrives with a file showing an attack on a military convoy in Berlin. Hobbs asks if it's on Toretto. After a negative Fuentes he shows his disinterest that is easily circumvented by Monica when she tells you to keep looking and is revealed the picture of the former girlfriend of Don and previously deceased Leticia Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez).
Depois de resgatarem Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) da prisão após baterem no ônibus que o transportava, Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) e Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) fogem para o Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, onde encontram Vince (Matt Schulze), amigo de infância de Dom e desafeto de Brian desde o primeiro filme da franquia. Vince comenta sobre um trabalho que aceitou sobre roubar três carros esportivos de um trem, porém quando o assalto dá errado, Dom, Brian e Mia são responsabilizados pela morte de três agentes do Departamento de Justiça Norte-americano. Neste momento eles percebem que o empresário corrupto que comanda o Rio, Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida), quer silenciá-los.
À procura de descobrir o motivo da obsessão de Reyes pelos carros, eles desmontam um GT40, um dos carros roubados, e descobrem a existência de um chip contendo todas as informações sobre os carregamentos de Reyes. Esse é o momento onde eles decidem e planejam roubar 100 milhões de dólares do empresário e com isso comprarem sua liberdade. A formação de uma equipe é necessária, e, para isso, chamam um time de all-stars dos outros filmes da franquia, Han (Sung Kang), Roman Pearce (Tyrese), Tej Parker (Ludacris), Gisele (Gal Gadot), Tego (Tego Calderón) e Rico (Don Omar).
Com todos na capital carioca, o time se prepara para roubar todo o dinheiro de Reyes criando um esquema para no fim roubarem o cofre. Ao mesmo tempo, o agente Lucas Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) e sua equipe do FBI os caça por toda a cidade até que enfim os encontra momentos antes do início da operação. Após um grande combate entre Hobbs e Torretto,so que pouco antes de Toretto matar Hobbs ele para por causa do pedido de sua irmã, o agente detém o mesmo junto a Mia e Brian. O veículo que conduzia todo a equipe policial e os prisioneiros ao aeroporto sofre uma emboscada que resulta na morte de Vince e também de todos os agentes, com excepção do oficial Hobbs, que foi salvo por Toretto e sua equipe.
Indignado com a morte de Vince, Dom quer dar continuidade ao plano mesmo com o alta possibilidade de falhar. A princípio toda a equipe se opôs, mas após o surpreendente apoio do agente Hobbs - querendo vingança por sua equipe - e da policial Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky), o grupo cede e apoia sua decisão.
A equipe de Toretto invade o estacionamento do batalhão de polícia e rouba 4 Dodge Chargers que são utilizados de maneiras diferentes no roubo do cofre. Dois deles, dirigidos por Brian e Toretto, são equipados para serem anexados ao cofre que será arrastado por toda a cidade enquanto que os outros dois, dirigidos por Pearce e Han, são utilizados na cobertura da fuga. Brian e Toretto percebem que não conseguirão fugir e Dom libera o carro de Brian alegando que ele tem agora uma família a criar (durante o filme é revelado que Mia está grávida). Dom executa uma manobra ousada dirigindo na contra-mão e abatendo todos os carros da polícia brasileira e também os do empresário, que apareceram durante a fuga. Apenas um dos capangas de Reyes sobrevive e quando este ia atirar em Dom, Brian surge matando-o. Na sequência, Hobbs e Neves aparecem, mas permitem que Dom tenha 24 horas de vantagem contanto que o cofre fique com o FBI. Ambos concordam e na sequência é mostrado que durante a fuga o cofre cheio é trocado por um cofre vazio. Tej consegue abrir o cofre e a partir daí o paradeiro de todos é revelado: Tego e Rico estão em Mônaco apostando todos os seus milhões em um cassino. Roman compra um Koenigsegg CCXR Edition, afirmando que havia apenas quatro em todo o mundo, e que ele tem o único no hemisfério ocidental, mas para sua surpresa, vê que não é o único, já que Tej revela que também adquiriu um, junto a sua nova oficina. Han e Gisele, os quais flertaram durante todo o filme, aparecem em uma fronteira de Berlim com um Lexus LF-A se dirigindo a Madri e afirmando que em breve irão para Tóquio. Brian e Mia surgem em uma praia do Pacífico Sul esperando seu filho e ganham a companhia de Dom e Elena que chegam em seu novo Dodge Challenger. O filme acaba com Brian desafiando Dom para uma última corrida, sozinhos e sem trapaças, em seus novos carros.
Após um vídeo gráfico apresentando os atores é mostrada uma cena extra, onde Hobbs está trabalhando em seu escritório quando recebe a visita da velha conhecida agente Monica Fuentes. Ela chega com um arquivo mostrando um ataque a um comboio militar em Berlim. Hobbs pergunta se é sobre Toretto. Após uma negativa de Fuentes ele mostra seu desinteresse que é facilmente contornado por Monica quando ela o orienta a continuar olhando e é revelada a foto da ex-namorada de Dom e até então falecida Letícia Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez).
